Red Lion senior Amanda Myers, who won medals in the javelin at both the District 3 and PIAA championships last May, broke a long-standing school record in the javelin on March 27 against Spring Grove.
Myers impressively threw 143 feet, 10-inches, breaking the Lions record set in 2008 by Brittany Harlacker by more than eight feet.
"She is one of the most dedicated hardworking athletes I have ever coached and any press she receives is well deserved," said Red Lion track coach Jason Smith.
