Red Lion's Nick Argento, Central York's Noreaga Goff and Spring Grove's Owen Jacobs were selected to play in the Pennsylvania Scholastic Football Coaches Association's 16th annual East/West All Star Game, set for 2 p.m. May 7 at Altoona's Mansion Park Stadium.
Additionally, Central York football coach Josh Oswalt was selected to serve as an assistant coach for the West team, which will feature all three of the local players.
Argento was selected as a defensive lineman. He was named a GameTimePA first-team all-star on both offensive and defensive line. On the defensive side, he finished with 85 tackles and three sacks.
Goff earned a spot on the team as a running back, and Jacobs will play as a defensive lineman. Both players were named second-team all-stars by GameTimePA, with Jacobs earning the nod for his work on the offensive line.
The East/West All Star Game was founded as a sister game to the annual Big 33 game to allow more players to participate in such a showcase game.
